Jonah wins at inaugural Derbyshire Chess Congress

Jonah Tomsett won all his games in the Foundation section, held at Trent College, Long Eaton, on 23rd-24th September

His final score was 4.5 out of 5, winning first prize of £150. Congratulations Jonah!

Also in this section, Alex Clements scored 2.5pts and Artemijs Gulijevs 2pts.

In the Open section, Eldars Gulijevs finishsed on 2.5pts, performing well above his rating.

Overall this was a well-run, successful event, a welcome addition to the calendar in close proximity to Bramcote.
