More success for Ritika at 42nd Blackpool Congress

Playing in this well-attended and strong weekend congress on 9-11 March, Ritika was joint 3rd and also picked up the best junior prize and Sharon Furlong Trophy!

Ritika with her trophies at BlackpookShe was competing in the Minor section, in this case not the lowest section of the tournament, and scored 4/5, remaining unbeaten. Not only that, she also picked up the grading prize!

The Sharon Furlong Trophy (pictured) is for the best female performance across the tournament. A terrific result for Ritika, congratulations!

Her sister Lavanya also played in the Minor, finishing in a large group on 3.5/5.

Some of our other juniors also competed.

In the Open, Anita Somton performed above her rating to finish on 2/5.

In the Foundation, Kian Chan also finished on 3.5/5.
